About the Tour
Our tour begins in Dhaka, where will collect you from the airport and take you to a nearby hotel, the rest of the day is free so we can make plans depending your energy! On day 2 we will drive to Rajshahi to visit ancient temples, bazaars, and the Varendra Research Museum. Day 3 is a day trip to the mesmerising ancient Bengal capital city of Gauda. Day 4 encompasses crossing the Char (sandbank) of Padma (the Ganges) to visit remote tribal villages on an island that is half in India and half in Bangladesh. In the afternoon we will visit the beautiful Bagha Mosque and the Temples of Puthia. The next day we will take in more archeological wonders including the Somapura Mahavihara, a Buddhist Monastery and UNESCO World Heritage Site, and we will close the day by visiting the Sarital Tribal village to see how they live. We will sleep overnight in Bogra before heading to Rangpur to visit the centuries old carpet workshop and the Tajhat Palace. Our last day takes us to Dinapur to see a school built buy German architects from mud and bamboo, that won Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2007. We will visit some more exquisite temples before heading to Saidpur Airport to fly back to Dhaka. Night 7 sees us sleeping in Dhaka, where the next day we will either take you to the airport or assist with forward travel plans.
